Orbit One

Smartphones & Tablets

Talk, Text, and Email

The Orbit One subscription allows for Talk, Text, and Email to work on the iPhone. If you are needing more access than that, then you would select the Orbit Two or Three subscriptions.

Computers

Also known as "Email and Updates"

  • no browser use
  • internet access for email accounts
  • internet access for some anti-virus and Windows updates and some other software updates/support

Orbit Two

Smartphones & Tablets

Using the Apple or Google app store

The difference between the Orbit Two and Orbit Three subscriptions is how the Apple or Google app store is managed. With Orbit Two the Apple or Google app store is available for the user to use. With Orbit Three the Apple or Google app store is removed and replaced with the Jamf Self Service app store on an iPhone or iPad or the Vision Market on the Vision Android phones.

Orbit Three

Using the Compass-hosted app store

With the Compass-hosted app store, you have a number of options.

  • You can use our Gold app store which is a collection of around 800 apps that our customers have asked for over the years.
  • Or you can use our Silver app store which has Talk, Text, Email, Cloudveil Messenger, GPS or Navigation, and Weather apps. Also included in the Silver app store are some other offline (not using any internet) apps such as Bible apps and various calculators and unit conversion apps.
  • Another option is for your Church Group to have us build you a custom app store. You can give us a list of apps that you want available for all of your people and then we would assign that app store to your peoples' iPhones and/or iPads. For this last option, we would bill your Church Group for the number of hours that it takes to put it all in place.

What if you need an app that is not in the Compass-managed App Store?

Send a screenshot or link to support@compassfoundation.io to help us identify the correct app. We will try to make it available to you.

Email-only (no updates)

Do you want to restrict a Windows computer to have no Web access at all, not even software updates? This is NOT a subscription. You pay a one-time fee for this lockdown. Any further adjustments needed are billable support incidents.

  • IMAP email accounts can still function
  • Browser-based email such as Gmail will not work with this
