Daystar Email DNS records

DNS Settings Required for Daystar Email

This document is provided for those who manage their own domain and DNS settings. If Compass manages your domain for you, we will ensure the correct records are in place.

1. MX record

Add an MX record, priority 10, pointing to mail.daystar.io

Pick whatever TTL you want; 1 hour is fine.

2. SPF record

Add a TXT record, blank hostname, with the following content.

v=spf1 include:daystar.io ~all

3. DKIM records

Add two CNAME records:

Host pmg._domainkey pointing to pmg._domainkey.daystar.io
Host dkim._domainkey pointing to dkim._domainkey.daystar.io

4. DMARC record

Add a TXT record, with host _dmarc

and point it to

v=DMARC1; p=none; pct=100; rua=mailto:dmarcreports@compassfoundation.io; ruf=mailto:dmarcreports@compassfoundation.io

After some time has gone by, if all is well you may change p=none to p=quarantine
