Clavis SSO

This is intended for a public doc somewhere.

Clavis is ourthe Compass SSO [single signinsign-on] service.Service.

  • Clavis allows you to use a single set of credentualscredentials to logintolog into many of our differentservices, services that a user has access to including: Allincluding the following:

    Clavis access must be granted byContact Compass Foundation andto isrequest availableaccess uponto request.Clavis SSO.

    Clavis login is tied to a browser session as well,session, so that after logging in you can quickly log into these services with a single button click. Because of this "easyease of access" after loggedlogging in, there is added security involved with logging in and will be required into thelog nearinto future.Clavis. This includeswill include the use of 2FA2FA, which will requirerequiring a password and a key. For this key you can use a Yubikey, Fingerprint, or Face idID depending on what your particular device supports.

    Clearing the cache of your browser cache will require you to log into the clavisClavis server again.

    First time setup

    1. Click the 'Login in with Clavis" button from one of our services login page or go to clavis.compassfoundation.io.
    2. Your username will be the email address we have on record in our system for the clavisClavis user attempting to login.
    3. You will need to setupset up a password by clicking the "forgotForgot password" buttonbutton, which will send you an email to your email account with a link to set your password.
    4. Open this link and enter your new password. RemenberRemember to use strong passwordspasswords!

      • Next you will need toand set up your 2FA credentuals.

    6. NavegateNavigate to your Person record under Accounts on the left handside columnmenu. if you are not already at this page.
    7. Select the Credentials tab in the tab bar in the middle of the main window.
    8. Add a Credential using the button in the upper left of the lower section of the main window.
    9. NextClick click Register Hardware Key or Device.Device. Note: itWe isrecommend recommended that you setsetting up at least 2two keys, to prevent locking yourself out accidentally.

    10. Setup complete.complete! Now when you use the clavisClavis login on a new browser or if the browser cache has been deleted and you are asked to log into clavis,Clavis, you will first enter you username and password and then you will be prompted to confirm with one of the Credentialscredentials you have set up.Y
