Mail Server Settings for Email Clients

The settings below should be used for all email accounts hosted by Compass Foundation, including emails hosted on a custom domain name.

IMAP information for the incoming mail server

• Server name: imap.daystar.io

• SSL Required: Yes

  • If you see an error when using SSL, try using TLS instead.

• Port for IMAP: 993

  • Use Port 995 if configuring for POP3

• Authentication: Normal password

• Username: Your full Daystar email address

• Password: The password for your email account

Use of POP3 is generally discouraged because it does not natively support accessing an account on multiple devices. IMAP syncronizes all messages across your devices, and is the default and recommended protocol to use with Daystar.

SMTP information for the outgoing mail server

• Server name: smtp.daystar.io
• SSL Required: Yes
• TLS Required: Yes (if available)
• Port for TLS/STARTTLS: 587
• Port for SSL: 465
• Authentication: Normal Password
• Username: Your full Daystar email address
• Password: The password for your email account
